“The Show”

Beyond the silliness that is a "blog" there lies the "vlog" (video log).  The vast majority of these are dull and insipid.  In the vast minority, however, lies Ze Frank’s The Show.  Hilarious.

Start with yesterday’s episode, and bookmark it for frequent consumption.

I don’t want my MTV

Here’s a good article about the cable monopolies and the growing pressure for viewer choice.

Why should everyone be forced to fund the friggin’ Golf channel or Ovation? (or insert your own disliked stations)

When Comcast, e.g. says they can’t do it, that’s an out-and-out lie.  They can restrict access to unwanted channels just as easily as they can prevent you from watching that Cinemax late night flick if you’re not a subscriber…

We have over 300 channels on our top-tier service, and we regularly watch approximately seven of them.  There are maybe twenty channels that attract 99% of our viewing time.

Allofmp3.com down?

Reports are that the site has been down all weekend… and might be down for good.

If they do come back up this week, and you have any credits there, I suggest you cash them in immediately!  Guess it was fun while it lasted, eh?

UPDATE: as of Tue 05/16 the site is back up.

Deja Vu all over again…
