Like sands through the hourglass…

… only you get to draw the hourglass, or whatever else you can imagine…

This is very freakin’ cool.

Given 4 streams to start with – sand, water, salt and oil, simply draw obstacles.  The falling particles will fall around your works as in real life.  The physics are impeccable!

Change the falling rate of the sand.  Draw smaller or larger obstacles.  Draw plants and watch them grow as water hits.  Set things on fire!

Warning: do not launch this at work – you may never want to stop.

American Idols on Tour

The American Idols on concert on Saturday at the Wachovia Center actually exceeded my (admittedly tepid) expectations!  The performers really cared about putting on a good show (well, except for Pickler — who really, seriously doesn’t have a brain in her should-be-prettier head).

The rest of the girls were OK, Bucky wasn’t bad, Elliot just kinda… sung.  Which is OK if you’re into his thing, dawg.  Taylor was Taylor — Takin’ It To The Streets was fun, the rest: meh. And finally, Chris Daughtry rocked the house, as was to be expected.

Our friend Cora has a better synopsis on her blog: June Makes Three.  Check it out, she’s a good writer (she’s better at telling a story, whereas I just go for silly pictures )

Oh, and speaking of pictures… have a look at my American Idol concert photos.
