101 Dumbest Moments in Business

A little late for “top xx lists” for 2007, but hey it was just posted last week.

Check out Fortune Magazine‘s 101 Dumbest Moments in Business. More than just a boring list of business news, it’s a great general year-end wrap up of many of the wacky events of 2007.

Lindsay Is Turning Two

People have been asking what to get for Lindsay for her second birthday. (She’ll be 2 years old already?!) Here are a few suggestions:

  • She loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse right now.
  • She used to love — and still enjoys occasionally — Blue’s Clues.
  • She always loves Elmo.
  • We could always use more Children’s DVDs for rides (see above characters).
  • For clothes, she’s a 2T.
  • For toys, anything without small parts is nice
(she still shoves things in her mouth from time to time).
  • Educational toys like time-telling, spelling, adding/subtracting.
(she’s got her colors, letters, numbers and counting down!)

For Christmas, she received lots of Barbies… so she’s good with those for a while. And she’s enjoying her full kitchen set with plastic foodstuffs from Christmas.

Thanks!

It seems like this is a bold stroke to fend off recession, but I think it can only serve to do just that — fend it off. It’s still coming, perhaps towards the end of Q2 ’08, but The Fed is trying to soften the blow.

In the meantime, borrowers rejoice… Refinancing, here I come!

UPDATE: or maybe not

Cursor 10: Cooperate By Oneself?!

That’s the tagline of this game. At first, it would seem that all you have to do is click on the stairs to reach the next level up — the goal being to reach Level 16. However, you only have 10 cursor lives, and each one has a time limit. And with each new cursor that spawns, you’ll see the “ghost” of the last cursor’s movements that you played.

You’ll see that your current cursor has to work with your previous cursors to solve the puzzle. You’ll have to plan ahead and help your future self with well-placed clicks. In other words, “Cooperate by onesself?!

Got it? Thought so. Great. Now let’s play Cursor*10.
