It’s only a month until the iPhone SDK is released, but those wacky hackers are still at it. Witness PocketGuitar, a realistic-sounding (using sampled .WAVs, I imagine) guitar simulator.

Block, Lock And Pop It
Play Block2Lock, a “slide the block out” puzzle game. It’s designed for play on the iPhone, but works just as well on your PC.
101 Dumbest Moments in Business
A little late for “top xx lists” for 2007, but hey it was just posted last week.
Check out Fortune Magazine‘s 101 Dumbest Moments in Business. More than just a boring list of business news, it’s a great general year-end wrap up of many of the wacky events of 2007.
Not sure how this headline gets approved by the editor, by the way…
Lindsay Is Turning Two
People have been asking what to get for Lindsay for her second birthday. (She’ll be 2 years old already?!) Here are a few suggestions:
- She loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse right now.
- She used to love — and still enjoys occasionally — Blue’s Clues.
- She always loves Elmo.
- We could always use more Children’s DVDs for rides (see above characters).
- For clothes, she’s a 2T.
- For toys, anything without small parts is nice
(she still shoves things in her mouth from time to time). - Educational toys like time-telling, spelling, adding/subtracting.
(she’s got her colors, letters, numbers and counting down!)
For Christmas, she received lots of Barbies… so she’s good with those for a while. And she’s enjoying her full kitchen set with plastic foodstuffs from Christmas.
Thanks!
Fed Cuts Rates 3/4 Point In One Day
That day being today. It’s the largest single move “in recent memory”. Read More ยป
It seems like this is a bold stroke to fend off recession, but I think it can only serve to do just that — fend it off. It’s still coming, perhaps towards the end of Q2 ’08, but The Fed is trying to soften the blow.
In the meantime, borrowers rejoice… Refinancing, here I come!
UPDATE: or maybe not…
Bill Maher: A Religious Test
Bill Maher speaks up for Rationalists, and their role in the election.
“If you believe you’re in a long-term relationship with an all-powerful space daddy who will, after you die, party with your ghost forever…” LOL
Free: New Shick Quattro Titanium Razor
While I’m holding out for the razor with 11 blades — that will shave my face, chest and armpit hair simultaneously — I’m settling for a free Quattro Titanium from Shick. Even though it’s actually a Cinco, as it features a fifth, “leading (bleeding?) edge”, blade.
Cursor 10: Cooperate By Oneself?!
That’s the tagline of this game. At first, it would seem that all you have to do is click on the stairs to reach the next level up — the goal being to reach Level 16. However, you only have 10 cursor lives, and each one has a time limit. And with each new cursor that spawns, you’ll see the “ghost” of the last cursor’s movements that you played.
You’ll see that your current cursor has to work with your previous cursors to solve the puzzle. You’ll have to plan ahead and help your future self with well-placed clicks. In other words, “Cooperate by onesself?!“
Got it? Thought so. Great. Now let’s play Cursor*10.
I Hate American Idol
…says PhillyBurbs‘ Dave McGurgan. Yet, it seems he is being paid to watch and review it. Often scathingly.
Here’s a brief interview with Dave on WPHT radio last night:
Think Your Commute Is Bad?
Then try getting through this.
T.O. B.O.O.H.O.O
You’ve probably already seen this a few times, but I’d be remiss if I didn’t archive this gem here forever.

The MacBook Air
The newest Apple notebook – the MacBook Air.
3 pounds and 3/4″ thin. It’s got all the latest & greatest: Core2Duo processor, LED display, Wireless N, etc. — same as my Dell XPS M1330. But most interesting to see with this is what Apple can make out of the multi-touch trackpad beyond enlarging & reducing photos…
